This guy had some unconventional political perspectives I’m at odds with, which I feel the need to provide a disclaimer for before I go quoting him in my essay, but his statement here, to me, rings too painfully true to not include. If anyone is interested in further reading spurred from this quote, I would forward them to Modern Man in Search of a Soul by C. G.
