In a digital age saturated by clean girl culture and increasingly out of touch with the lives of everyday New Yorkers, ternstiele aims to cut through influencer culture and show you what real Gen Zers are thinking and doing in this city—raw, dirty, and unfiltered.

Whether it’s our weekly party-culture-investigation column Where Did the Party Go or our art, film, and culture interviews and reviews, this is youth and underground culture with a focus on the next generation of New Yorkers. We spotlight alternative narratives across art, culture, nightlife, and media—with an unapologetic emphasis on the things everyone else is too scared to tell you about.
